Newly Renovated Rooms at Turtle Bay Resort
Located on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, the Turtle Bay Resort is the perfect place to call home while visiting paradise. During our most recent visit, which was my second, I was extremely surprised to discover the hotel had undergone a renovation. Not a small renovation, but a massive multi-million dollar enhancement. All of the rooms, suites and hallways were updated, 2 new restaurants and 2 new retail stores were added as well as a new spa and fitness center. I couldn't believe how much had changed in just one short year.
I love the new décor! The color scheme is beautiful, and the room feels more airy and open with the new fixtures, furniture and bedding. I was happy to see the rooms maintained their spacious footprint.
My favorite feature in the rooms at Turtle Bay are the interior shutter-style doors which lead to the lanai. We usually always leave the glass doors open, and slightly close the shutters throughout the day or at night if needed. Bonus: all of the rooms have unobstructed views of the ocean, and both sunrises and sunsets are visible from this part of the island.
A brand new Keurig brewer was installed in each room. Although the resort has an awesome coffee shop (part of the Lobby Lounge where they make the most delicious pumpkin spice latte ever), I loved the option of having coffee without leaving the room.
The coffee, closet, refrigerator and one of the sinks are located just outside the bathroom. I love having all this space, plus a sink outside of the bathroom. It makes traveling with family so much easier.
Also completely remodeled were the bathrooms. All have new tile, vanities, and walk-in showers.
I'm in love with the walk-in shower!
The resort remains as beautiful as ever. Because I'm still on California time, I always wake up early and go for a run inside the resort and then out onto the Kamehameha Highway. It's heaven. Really.
With all of its romance, natural beauty, amazing food and activities - Turtle Bay was already one my favorite places. With the new additions and the upgrades, I love it even more! Plus, it's close to Pipeline and the Kahuku race track. So whether you snorkel, surf, run or ride - you're in the right place! Or, you can just sip a mai tai and play in the pool. That works too!
