21 Day Fix Week 1 Recap PLUS How to Use the Containers
I did it - I survived Week #1 of the 21 Day Fix! The first 7 days of the program flew by and I feel accomplished, energetic and stronger. I have dropped 4 lbs and lost 2 inches (from my waist) in just 7 full days of being on the program.
Cardio on Day 1 was challenging, but not extreme. I never felt like I might get hurt or as if I could not keep up. There are modifications for each move, and I used those as needed. I really like Autumn! She explains the movements well and the segments flow seamlessly together. I added in the 10-Minute Fix for Abs a couple of nights out of the week and really enjoyed that workout as well.
I am following the program 100% in the kitchen and I am NOT tired or hungry. In fact, there have a been a couple of days where I just couldn't finish my whole meal. There is a treat incorporated in the program to allow for a glass of wine every now and again, but I've decided to cut out alcohol completely. It's only 21 days!
By the end of Day 3 I was over any cravings for pastries, candies, excess sugar, etc. Yes, it did take about 3 days for me to get the cravings out of my system. Remember that I work at Starbucks. Until last week, I started every day with coffee or a flavored espresso drink topped with whipped cream and caramel. The rest of the day I ate pastries or breakfast sandwiches on breaks and lunch. Cleaning up my diet is a huge task, and I cannot believe I have come this far in 7 days without touching an Iced Lemon Loaf or drinking something sweet.
None of this is "easy", but it is doable. It takes 21 days to break a bad habit, and I have many. If I can do it, you can do it!
