Tiki Hut Pub & Grill Daytona Beach

One thing I love to do when I travel is hunt for a tiki bar. The good ones always have a unique characteristic that make them a cool find. While I was strolling down Main Street in Daytona Beach during Bike Week I spotted the Tiki Hut Pub & Grill and decided to check it out after playing on the beach.

By the time I left the beach and did a little shopping I was starving! I asked a shop owner if the tiki bar had any good food and she said yes - especially mahi mahi & burgers. Bazinga!

Despite the fact that the streets and sidewalks were totally crowded, the restaurant was not. It was nice to break away from the heat and people but that didn't last very long! Pretty soon large groups began rolling in for lunch. I'm lucky I got there when I did!

The restaurant was super cute, typical tiki decor, but very open and spacious. The windows were open so if you had a front window table, you actually felt like you were almost outside. I LOVE that and was bummed those tables were taken. It's a great spot for people-watching.

Service was super fast. I had two servers check in on me multiple times. My server took the time to answer all my questions and make recommendations. I finally chose the grilled mahi mahi fish tacos which were amazing. The fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked and the portion was large. I asked for light sauce because I am typically not a fan. Glad I did because the fish were perfect with just the produce and a hint of the sauce.

My check total, which included a cocktail and the tacos, was less than $16. I was pleasantly surprised because where I'm from a vodka soda alone will run $10 - $12.

My server took the time to point out every watering hole I should hit on my way back up Main Street to fully enjoy Bike Week, and I really appreciated that!

If you're in Daytona and looking for a fun tiki joint with good food, check out the Tiki Hut Pub & Grill! Great location, great service, yummy food, cheap drinks.
