Sadie Hawkins Dance
Every year I love helping my daughter come up with a fun and unique way to ask a friend to the Sadie Hawkins Dance. Particularly a method that doesn't involve cooking or baking since A) we no longer live in 1937 and B) there's nothing wrong with being a single gal.
This year she asked for help with a new idea just before I flew down to Anaheim for the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. With only a couple of hours until flight time, and not much time to think while I hurriedly packed my suitcase, I suggested buying something personalized from Disneyland and bringing it back with me. Then it came to us: everyone in our family, LOVES the leather bracelets available at Pioneer Mercantile in Frontierland. (Located right across from the Frontierland Shootin' Exposition.) So she decided I should pick-up a bracelet and have it engraved. Easy!
When I stopped by the shop I was surprised by the variety of items available for engraving along with bracelets. There were also key chains, pet collars and luggage tags.
After careful consideration, and lots of text messaging, she chose this cute luggage tag with Mickey and Minnie kissing. (This one is white with red foil font, but it is also available in black with red foil font.) The result was "Yes".
